I'm just curious why loving kindness is recommended in DN. What I notice is that in the falling away of attachment to things that defined me (such as hobbies, passion, and other various doings) there is a great sense of low self worth, jealousy, etc. I often feel like "I have nothing" or "I am nobody".
Is this why loving kindness on self is recommended?
I'm just curious.
