| | Try different postures of all kind. The only thing you really need to consider with posture is: "how well can I concentrate in this." Thus, you're looking for a posture that excludes distractions: pain, numbness, sleepiness, and so on. Although all of these may happen to some degree if you meditate for a long duration. You may just need to switch postures mid-way through. For example, half lotus for half an hour, then to burmese for half an hour.
The point is not to be dogmatic about positions, you can just chill out in a straight back chair if you want. Find what works for you and go with it.
