If I were totally free from foot-pain, why would I ask this one?

Speaking of pain. Buddha was walking along with some followers, when all of a sudden, an angry dog came running towards them. Deftly, Buddha pulls of his belt and whips the dog sending him in the other direction howling. Confused by this occurrence one follower says to Buddha, "did you not teach us that all things have Buddha nature and should be treated as such?" Buddha replied, "yes, but in this particular case Buddha wanted to be hit with a belt, rather than bitten on the leg!"
