my advice is to listen carefully, make it clear your understand perfectly, dimiss their concerns completely, and then share your own experience with the dharma in a way that seems sage, yet leaves meditation or observing as the key chore.
make sure you pay attention to 'really enjoying teaching' - that can blossom into the 'dark side' of contemplative practice.
The best meditation teachers are the ones who get the pupil to leave behind that which they cannot give up on their own. 'Preconceptions' is a great place to start.
