Can anyone point me toward a very short, soothing  wav file? I want something I can install in a program that would sound off every 2 seconds.

If you have an ipod touch or iphone you can download the Insight Timer app and it has many Tibetan bells (plus a wood block) and you can use interval bells as you see fit.

I used my phone with a recording app to record my bell at home....it rings for a long time though...like 10+ seconds...perhaps you could make your own this way the way you want it

I don't have an ipad or iphone.

I can make my own but can't find anything around here with that soothing sound. The digital metronome that I use is orientated toward music. I have been able to take its cowbell sound and keep it real soft. That kinda works.

BTW, a nice app for smartphones is the Bodhi Timer. Nice sounds and very easy to use.
