In the end none of the wanderers accept the challenge as they are overcome by Mara.
The peculiar part of this sutta is that the Buddha claims that it is not necessary for any of them to give up:
-Their notions of wholesome and unwholesome.
-Their current teacher.
-Their livelihood.
-Their training.
