Noting and the Three Characteristics (in MCTB)

Hey,

I am new to Vipassana meditation and just finished reading MCTB. I have some questions about noting and the three characteristics:

- Do I stop using words when my noting of sensations becomes faster? I can't say or think 10 words per second, right? So do I just drop the words and try to be aware of all the sensations?

- How is noting related to the three characteristics? I shouldn't think about them while noting, right? Do I try to experience those qualities in all the sensations while noting? Or do I just note and wait until I gain insight into the three characteristics naturally?

- In the book there are four techniques for "Impermanence", one for "suffering" and one for "no self". Ho do they relate to noting? Are they alternative techniques. Should / Can they be done while noting in order to focus on one of the characteristics? Is it possible to focus on all of the three characteristics while noting both seperately and all at once?

I am grateful for any help!

Best,
Michael
