Though in truth, I don't think any music I've heard really captures the emotional intensity. You would need something like Penderecki's
Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima paired with recordings of people howling in agony and various extreme metallic sounds similar to
Merzbow. Not to put any pre-A&P practitioners off or anything... I did a lot of dry insight. With a more samatha-heavy approach apparently most of the dark night effects can be averted. There is also much to be said for really knowing the dark night nanas deeply.
