In my account, I am subscribed to the advaita vs buddhism thread, but it says I am subscribed via RSS. I would like to be subscribed the normal way, via email. Does anyone know how to change this? I see no option for it anywhere. Thanks.

Nintheye, you will need to contact Daniel Ingram about this. You can use the "Flag" link at the bottom of any posting window to do that. That will create a message that Daniel will receive and can then address.
