Insight Meditation Group of Sandy Springs - Kick-Off Meeting

The first meeting of The Sandy Springs Insight Meditation Group will take place on Thursday, October 1st from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. During our first meeting we will have a group discussion to give everyone a chance to get to know eachother. After our discussion, we plan on talking about the details of our next six meetings. Following our discussion we will have a group meditation session.

We are very fortunate to be able to kick-off this new group with an online six-week Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation Course that is being offered by the Insight Meditation Center in Redwood City, California.

For more details about this course please visit our new webpage http://sites.google.com/site/sandyspringsinsightmeditation/mindfulness-meditation-course. The course is offered freely with the option of teacher support. Our group will have access to an experienced teacher throughout the course. If you register for the course please remember to tell them that you are taking the course with the Sandy Springs Insight Meditation Group.

I am in Atlanta. Did the group you mentioned ever take off? The website you linked to is disabled. I would be interested in meeting you or anyone else who is drawn to this type of practice discussed on this board.

The website listed in the original post has been disabled.

Here is a website that lists most of the Buddhist groups in Atlanta:
