32 parts of the body meditation

hi all,

May I find it if anyone is using 32 parts of the body as their primary meditation object? 

I started meditating on 32 parts of body recently after reading book on Sathipathana practice by Anayalo and then the website I find it very calming. 

It seems like 32 parts of body is used more as an adjunct rather than primary meditation object.
or most of us are taught mindfulness of breathing. 
I used mindfulness of breathing primarily but some days there is so much anxiety over distracting thoughts / dark night. 

I am hoping that someone is able to share and shed more light about deeper practice of this meditation technique.
