Is this part of the path or am I overanalyzing?

Hey guys, after 4 years of daily meditation, 6 months ago I stopped meditating. It was not a conscious decision, I just don’t feel the “need of meditating”. In these years I did not have an “extraordinary experience”’ only some periods of anxiety and sadness, and some nice experiences’ nothing too big. . But really what I find funny is that some things that in the past caused me a lot of negative emotions, now don’t touch me as before. Actually a lot of things that used to cause me anxiety and worry, now don’t even stress me.
i really don’t feel the need of meditation, and it is weird because i was really driven meditator.
i guess meditation isn’t for me, or i’m in a. “Long stage” that i don’t feel practicing
if someone have a feedback for me i’ll be grateful
thanks emoticon

¡Hola Álvaro! Welcome to the forum!

Eight points came to my mind:

1) That's nice.

2) It won't last.

3) It's always ok not to want to meditate.

4) It's always ok not to meditate.

5) Don't be surprised when (2) happens. Might be a good idea to have a strategy in place for when stress comes up.

6) The strategy may or may not include meditation, we are back to (3) and (4).

7) If you were really done with meditation, you wouldn't be posting on this forum in the first place.

8) Contrasting (1) and (5), couldn't it be that you would want to want to meditate, or something like that? Perhaps there's something under the radar that wants to get out. What drove you to post on this forum?

Thanks for your reply.
I agree with you, I definitely don’t feel that I’m “done” with meditation, maybe I should get back on track.

All good replies above. Desire and aversion to practice seem to vary throughout different stages of the path. Switching up techniques can definitely be helpful and might reignite interest in practice (if that's what you are after).

Could be you need a different type of practice now.  What were you doing before?

I was doing intensely TMI, but sometimes choiceless awareness
