Something is wrong with my vision

There is something seriously wrong with my vision.

You might wonder, why am I posting about my vision on a Buddhist forum? Why not see an eye doctor?
Well because it's a weird vision problem that nobody seems to understand.

Ok. So I can actually see fine, my vision isn't blurry or anything.
But the problem is I don't mentally register things I see. Like, I see, but I don't see.
The problem is especially bad with stationary objects. If something is moving it's a lot easier for me to see it.

I've never heard of anyone else with this problem, I don't even know what to call it.

Is there any practice that could help this problem?

Thank you.

Have you seen a neurologist?

Even if you think it's related to meditation and not an eye problem, it can't hurt to see an opthalmologist. I had a similar issue and it turned out I actually had a serious eye issue. Better to get it checked and it's nothing, versus letting an actual problem get worse.
