At and Around the Moment of Death

Unless one experiences a state of quiescent joy at the moment of death and one's bodily remains are verifiably observed to be in an exalted state of joyful countenance, supple, and without dissolution until the time of cremation [seven days], any claims of attainments are nothing more than dust in the wind. This is a much more reliable measure of Buddhist attainment than the Tibetian observation of the so-called Rainbow Body since absence of evidence can scarcely be considered a verifiable observation and it leaves open the question of a hoax perpetrated by the disciples.
