Haha, I have a green dragon boa that would go perfectly with the hat.

Thank you for the down to earth information. Only someone with two third eyes could pull this off.

Hahaha, something about that green-screen background combined with the hat, the increased frame-rate of the camera and the way it kept auto-focusing itself give me the feeling of being in a DN fever dream every time Daniel was on screen. Good stuff.

Thankyou for that reminder of how superfascinating it can actually be to investigate the dukkha nanas! It made me really want to dive into it. That's exactly the spirit I have been missing lately and that has worked so well for me earlier. I had sort of found it again even before I watched the recording, but your animated and humorous speech about it made my day and spurred my motivation.

And yeah, that double-third-eye alternative lama hat really did the trick too.

Thank you Daniel for this talk and for the appearance style.

It made me glad to see that Jay Sanguinetti and Dave Vago are part of your team in theeprc.org.  I hope to see collaboration between you and Shinzen.

Daniel M. Ingram:

Thank you Daniel for this tour de force state of the art speed-compressed presentation of the dark night basics. This is an instant classic, and may save some people their sanity. It may also free some people up to accept their insanity in deeper trust.

Also, though it almost goes without saying, you look mahvelous. You embody fabulousnness. (The dark night is always in good taste. It's the new black.)

(And the old black too, of course.)

note: Daniel's talk begins at 17:28 on the video's timeline. Click for the content, stay for the outfit, as HK said. This is a gift of a talk.

Glad you all found some in the talk: may that be true generally.

It would be hard to overstate how annoying I find the autofocus problem, being a technical perfectioninst as I admittedly am, and why it wasn't doing that when I tested out the whole rig for an hour or so a few days before is a mystery, but, once the thing started, it was too late to do anything about it, and, on the small monitor I was watching, which was about 7 ft away, it was hard to tell how bad it was, particularly as I wasn't wearing my glasses due to the glare in the lights, and my distance vision drops off precipitously at about 4 ft.

Something about the dark hat and dark shirt causing the camera to be confused? No idea.

I will do much more testing before the next one, this time with the exact wardrobe I will be waring and someone behind the camera for the textin. The next talk is hich a panel discussion with some wazoos Sunday about Monks and Scientists Oct 25th, Sunday, 7am Central Time, Noon GMT, I think, but the UK changes time zones that day, so check.

Best wishes,

Daniel

Great discussion!  Really enjoyed a slow talking and diplomatic Daniel. The beginning statement was gold.  The audio transcript is hilarious it referred to the Rinpoche as Ricochet among other gaffes.  I wish it was on YouTube.
