A different perspective on Kasina practice

A casual YouTube search for "Kasina" brought this video to my attention...

Ajahn Nayanamoli Thero of Hillside Hermitage in Sri Lanka offers a guide to Kasina practice centered around "Right View". His perspective seems to me to center more around contemplating the elemental nature of the Kasina object and establishing your mindfulness in the totality and all pervasive nature of earth, water, fire, light, space, consciousness, etc. He also questions the value of  kasina meditation as commonly spoken about by Daniel and this community, that without right view it is completely useless. I can't do full justice to his perspective here, but I found it quite compelling. After watching the video, what do you all think?
