Well, you can change your first name and last name to something other than your real name, and then post.
You can do it from Account Settings menu, accessed from the profile image icon, if you wish.

Alternatively, you may put your nickname in the 'first name' box, and any symbol (eg '·') in the 'last name' box. That's why I'm " Pepe · " and not simply "Pepe". The system forced me to do that when I chose to change the image of my avatar. I have already reported this problem in the Liferay thread.

Oh I assumed '·' was the symbol for cessation :-)

Why doesn't it post my screen name. I was also surprised when my real name came up.   No big deal

I was equally surprised when I joined. It's a weird thing.
