Hi Meditator - I've used those nets at MBMC (Malaysia), where there are no screens on the windows so mosquitoes fly around at will. They can be stuffy, but I like meditating inside them far better than being relentlessly bitten (though I didn't have repellent). If you're thinking of traveling with one, the metal stand and ring would be far too bulky. I've never seen or used them in India (haven't been there in a while), though I suspect they are available somewhere, depends on where you are. It may turn out you don't really need one (a good repellent may be enough), but if you do, you can always have one made at a very reasonable cost.
