English speaking Buddhist community in continental Europe

Hi,
I'm looking for an English speaking community where I stay in continental Europe where I can stay for at least a few months in which I can get some guidance but also be kept active with tasks. Also ideally where my yoga practice wouldn't be frowned on.

I don't have any details to give you, but I know that there are places in the Netherlands and in Poland that regularly have retreats with Lama Lena in English and some place in Poland that has a close cooperation with Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, also in English. Both these places are focused on Tibetan Buddhism. If that sounds interesting, it might be worth joining their virtual sanghas to find out more. I don't think any of them would frown on your yoga practice. I don't know about accomodations, though.

You could do a work retreat at Gaia House in England. I did one recently and it was very good. They are yoga friendly as far as I know. They have a walking meditation hall that can also be used for yoga. An added bonus is that they have a very comprehensive library of meditation books from lots of different traditions

I looked at Gaia house also but they require that you have completed a meditation retreat before you can apply to do a work retreat. I am considering doing a retreat but to be honest I am a little scared of doing a retreat. Without be able to do a lot of grounding exercises e.g. physical work my energy system goes haywire.

You could do one of the online TWIM retreats which is only a 3-4 hours a day time committment and includes walking meditation:

They are very good.
