I'm fascinated by Buddhisms potential influence on the west through greek culture. Given how white washy the church can be, it can be challenging to retroactively understand western culture from a pre-christian point of view. 

Yes, it is interesting! The world has been interconnected through all ages. People and caravans have been traveling between civilisations and tribes in all times. There are also theories about that Jesus was traveling to the east during his life. It can be sensitive to talk about sometimes. I think science is a good solution for this. Another sensitive topic could be noticing what happens here at this moment ;)
