In MTCTB, Daniel mentions that in the Visuddhimagga and the Vimuttimaga there is discussion about "which posture and which object might be best suited to the individual proclivities of various types of people." I was interested in reading these sections for myself. Does anyone have a good link to these sections or could point me towards more information? Thanks!

Not sure of the specific sections for your inquiry, but access to insight website has the visudhimagga free of charge. You can find the vimutthimagga on scribd.
