The quote:
... like wouldn't we be in a better society If people could access even just meditation? You know essentially what meditation is is toilet training it's it's like it's like emotional toilet training right and we live on a planet of people who are not toilet trained and so as a result they're shitty to each other they [ __ ] up the place they get [ __ ] on the walls they do all kinds of [ __ ] they shouldn't do... but then what do they do they go to the great Guru the man who sits on the throne who knows how to use the toilet which is meditation. If you just let your body relax long enough it will process your emotional garbage on its own and so if we had a planet where people learn some basic spiritual techniques not as some high futing like all this crap that gets put on it, but just to be able to release their own negative emotions. ... instead of going on social media and taking it out on other people? I mean
that that sounds pretty good to me.

Thank you for sharing this Shargrol. The quote above is very similar to the Hardcore Zen "Enlightenment and Cat Poop" article that I have seen you share on this board before. There are so many ways to conceptualize the spiritual path, but the idea of releasing our karma/obscurations again and again has been one that resonates with me lately. In this case, the practice eventually leads to a point where no new karma is generated akin to tracing words on water.
I ended up listening to the whole interview with Jason and found it very interesting. There were a few good one liners in there. Although I don't practice magick in a formal sense, I am definitely interested in it as a spirtual technology and would like to incoporate some more of that lens in my life. Similarly, I found this interview with Damien Echols to be fascinating and the path he describes sounds very similar to Tibetan Buddhism in which a person aims to achieve Rainbow Body and return to help liberate others. Damien Echols was one of the West Memphis Three which was a rather famous court case that people may have heard of before, but he is now quite a player in the modern magick scene. Might be worth a listen for people who appreciate magick.
