Hello, I am in the shill section, don't worry, I'm not actually promoting anything... 

I wrote an essay, it's not published and I don't necessarily have plans to publish it at the moment. It just happens to be the first good thing I've ever bloody written in my whole damn life and I'm wondering if any of you lot would be interested in giving it a proof read or just like a temperature check, is it compelling, useful, interesting, good? Etc...

It takes as influence a Socratic dialogue on temperance and explores how embracing uncertainty—rather than clinging to it—leads to deeper wisdom, ethical clarity, and more honest connections with others (and does a bit of social commentary and nerdy philology along the way). 

I would love to know your thoughts, I don't expect anyone to read it and I won't post it here. If you're interested DM me or comment here and I can DM you (as I've recently figured out how that part of the forum works.)

Anyway, lots of love, once again I don't care if no body is interested I have a tonne of super cool friends who will totally definitely read it and let me know what they think and how great it is and totally not batshit crazy I am so... No big deal

I'm interested in uncertainty but I have to ask, how long is it? :-)

It's 3000 words and change. Which is long for me. It's about uncertainty and unknowing as a gateway into the lived experience of mystery which is obviously nothing new to any of us here. It's pretty compelling in spots and a lot more "professional" than the kinds of things I usually write here. Once again I don't mind if no takers. I do actually have some literary/classics/philosophy friends who'll give it a look over. 

It's just funny I've been trying to get my writing together for a few years it's strange to actually write something half decent lol. The trick now I suppose is to see if I can write something else that's any good. 

I'd love to read it!

What you are talking about reminds me a bit of stuff by Vervaeke or Anna Riedl or for stuff which I actually like friston and markov blankets. Can send you the papers if you are into stuff like that, though if I read yours before I will know whether any of that actually fits.

DM'd you Stranger, I'm a professional programmer and semi-pro ML/AI guy. So would actually be open to those papers. Also feel free to critique the writing. This is my literal first ever essay. I wasn't really able to write them in school and never really applied myself to the form but it has, since I originally posted here, recieved some very high praise from some one who has expertise in the field so y'know... tear me apart if you like.

I'd love to read your essay some time. Proofreading is something I'm strangely good at and I enjoy it as well, especially when the subject matter is of interest.
