Psychward retreat practice log

My goal is 4 - 10 hours.
I am doing kasina mixed with holotrophic breathing.
I am posting it here to get some motivation to practice.
I have an electronic candle and when the battery goes out I do water kasina.
I'd love a meditation partner, so I'm more motivated to put in the hours.

this was the previous post, if anyone's curious.

(whatsapp in dm is fine, but i tend to use whatsapp one or two times per month?)

you mentioned stream-entry as your goal. how did you come to choose kasina practice, specifically?

Practical Insight Meditation book is what brought me stream-entry and weird experiences like time-acceleration, "teleportation/wormhole-like" movement, accelerated movement to a specific place. it also lead to tons of magickal experiences (related to other people) lol.

maybe i can help with some guidance if you want stream-entry, like discussing lifestyle, habits, perception-related stuff. for example, do you have moments with very little mindfulness? how do you know? if you were to take a piece of paper and you wrote down 10 or 20 things you can see, or touch, or hear right now, what would you write? you can uncover your attentional habits this way. can you sense whether something has background or foreground attention, whether something is "centralized"? lots of people are stuck in thoughts, for example. you might forget your environment entirely and just be thinking about something in the future. can you notice things with verbalizing and without verbalizing? can you see a square and call it a "square", to either say it out loud, or think it? can you, without verbalizing, simply notice it as what it is, a shape, a visual thing, a square. some people will simply drift off when thoughts arise. are your thoughts integrated, so that your attention easily moves from thoughts to vision or from thoughts to sound? that can tell you a lot about the pathways in your brain. how many differences can you notice? how well can you distinguish between things? for me, as my perception is quite fluid, i can sometimes notice more details and sometimes less. and there's different types of differences you can notice. differences in color. differences in state of consciousness/concentration-states such as the jhanas or one object is vibrating more than another, has more attention than another or is disappearing more often. there can be other differences like that thing is further away from me than another. you can distinguish between sound and touch. i have no spiritual teaching experience btw. only chess teaching. lol

I don't see why we need two topics with the same name and purpose. So, I'm freezing this new one with only two comments in it. Please use the original topic. If you want to make a case for retaining two, please DM me. However, it seems to me that this is a confusing thing to do, even in separate categories.
