Hello, experienced kundalini crown opening just over 1 year ago, followed by continuous dark night cycles since then, all with trauma resolution/suffering insight threshold energetic openings throughout the entire body which have led to more and more depth of continuous embodied gestalt attending. 

Three months ago in processing root blockages of inhereited ancestral death projections, after an intuitive mythopoetic sovereign self-initiation ritual, there was an intense burning sensation, experienced/interpreted as a sacrificial holding of nondual field at scale, felt as a burning line around the circumfrence of the skull with deep sense of initiation completion. 

Am not coming from any lineage, never experienced spiritual guidance/mentorship or community, but wanted to post here to see if this crown burning in a line around the skull is a known stage of certain developmental patterning. Thanks for any input/insight!

You can help us help you - can you please provide more details about your daily practice, what it consists of, how you learned it, and why you started? Are you equating "kundalini crown opening" with stream entry?  What is "an intuitive mythopoetic sovereign self-initiation ritual?" What does "experienced/interpreted as a sacrificial holding of nondual field at scale" mean? And this: "processing root blockages of inhereited ancestral death projections" - what's that?

Without some history and detailed information about your practice, we're flying blind. I don't want to be an asshole about this, but for me your jargon gets in the way of my understanding.

Thanks, Chris.I’ll take some time to distill a brief summary of my arc into MCTB-aligned language frames and share it here soon to offer better context.It’s been a very intense, nonlinear, and transparadigmatic year-long process of continuous insight cycling and nondual individuation—entirely intuitive, involving the creation and integration of new practices without external guidance or lineage adherence.The language I’ve developed to model recursive self-awareness and describe threshold events doesn’t translate easily, but I’ll do my best to frame the experience of recursive coherence within MCTB terminology.

River, please just respond in plain, descriptive language. Forget about MCTB-style jargon for now. And, obviously, it's worse if the jargon is invented and used by just one person. From whatever lineage, source, or tradition, jargon just makes these things harder to understand.

Regardless of the broader context and background practices, my core curiosity was whether anyone has experienced or heard of this specific energetic phenomenon:

A burning/searing ring sensation encircling the skull as a line—like a band of heat or energy at the crown’s perimeter.

Are you familiar with the progress of insight or the book Mastering the core teachings of the Buddha, thes phenomenological maps are some of the best.

If what's improtant for you is the reduction or extinguishing of suffering then serious meditation, study and investigation of what's going on with you is the key. Which means taking some time to learn how to communicate these things and notice them happen again and again over months or years. 

If that's not what you're about then feel free to disregard all this. 

Weird shit certainly does happen, it's just fireworks, beautiful for a moment, perhaps challenging but, like all phenomena, ultimately transient.

My path isn’t just nonlinear—it’s a post-stage, transparadigmatic somatic process now marked by continuous gestalt embodied attending (i.e., uninterrupted meta-awareness of the whole body’s signal field) and emergent capacities like intuitive full-body bliss coherence transmission (shaktipat), arising without prior training or awareness of that lineage, so I don’t think it aligns cleanly with the insight stage models you’re referencing; I’ll share a clearer overview when possible.

In my experience what people typically call kundalini or energetic phenomena is a result of a lot of power pumped into attention at the expense of awareness. 

When I experienced something similar it was in the form of instense head pressure  and orgasmic delight in terms of sensations running up my spine. My practice paradigm was a wisdom paradigm. I wanted to gain knowledge about the things that cause me suffering, wisdom about how to managge the mind and dispassion towards those things so that they eventually stop, and I become free of suffering.

Within that practice paradigm I saw these energetic phenomena as problems to be solved and worked out a solution for myself. I involved finding a way of rebalancing power between attention and awareness. This was inspired by a book called The Mind Illuminated by Dr. John Yates (PhD), but the specific exercises I worked out for myself.

I say this as someone who has lived for many years with an uninterrupted meta-awareness, full bodily bliss, psychic powers, and ultimately as someone who has received and administered more shaktipat than a 1980s sex cult: you might be wrong.

​​​​​​​Your experiences might actually be normal everyday things that countless others who have had them before you have experienced. They may infact be entirely normal, mappable, reproducible human experiences. If that is hard to hear and once again if your goal is the extinguishing of suffering through the ending of craving, then I highly recommend sitting with any arising discomfort. 

If your goal is not the end of suffering. Then please disregard what I'm saying and feel free to enjoy whatever personal fantasy most adequately stimulates your cerebro spinal fluid.
