I'm considering doing a long term (9-12 month) retreat, but am still weighing the possible benefits against the possible (worldly) downsides. To help me make this descision, I would like to find descriptions of people's experiences doing long term retreats, and what the consequences were for their practice and daily life upon returning. Can anyone point me to a good source for such reports, or provide their own?
