Meta-noting?

Hey guys.

I'm probably over-intellectualizing this, but I have a basic confusion about noting practice. Wouldn't one note that they are noting? Isn't making a note a mental sensation? What else could it possibly be, if not that? The idea of this frustrates me. I can see how this wouldn't necessarily make crazy recursive loops though, as there's an incredible amount of sensations every moment to note. Does anyone else deal with this? Is this some extraordinarily entry-level noting issue that everyone has already figured out? Maybe I should just sit and note and not worry about this so much.

Yes. And perhaps note 'worry', 'frustration', 'pondering', 'thought', 'wanting' (to know what is the 'correct' way), 'confusion', and whatever else takes centre stage in the very moment.
