I wrote a piece for my theory class today! I putt this in miscellaneous since I don't know where else to put it. It isn't really Dharma related, but I hoped it would be cool if I shared it anyways.

Dood that sounds awesome! I like that weird chord, the 6th in the progression - what's the progression there? I know a bit of music theory myself.

Thanks everyone.
The progression is [(I, V, V7, I,) (I6, ii6, I6-4 )] [(I, V, V7, I) (I6, ii6, I-V-I)]. There are a few points where there's an extra 7th or an inversion, but the theme and variations all follow that harmony.
Might your name be a musical reference?

Oh interesting. Is there a note in between the 5th or 6th chord or around there that isn't in the key signature? Like an extra sharp or flat. That must be what I was hearing. Could I get the sheet music for it by any chance if that would be possible? I play the piano a bit and this would be a cute thing to be able to play randomly, hehe... I can give credit if people ask where it's from =P.
Mind over easy:

It was actually just an alphabetical reference. It so happens that those are all valid notes too! I'm not sure I realized that until now.

Yeah, there are some chromatic passing tones at the I6 and ii6 chord. They're adjacent to the chord tones, basically serving as decoration, as commonly heard in the Italian bel canto style (and in Mozart's music, who was largely known as a composer of opera). Want to send me a PM with your email? I can send you a pdf.

Hey Claudiu...the Toxicity one was awesome !..that said , I wonder where you see music fitting in the Actualism practise..I mean, music kind of always pulls the affective strings in the heart...and on top of it they keep playing in the head for a
long time after that

Thanks!
Where I see music fitting into actualism is that music, for me, is really really fun to listen to and play. I always leave the studio in a better mood than when I came in, after having drummed for a few hours. It will be interesting to see how that changes when I'm actually free. But what isn't fun about hitting things very hard repeatedly? Hehe.

It's by the japanese post-rock band Te'. The drums sound fun, I thought you might enjoy it.
Cheers!

Nice! Looks like fun and I loved the smile cracked at the end. Still makes me smile when I remember it!
A friend sent me this the other night, Landfill harmonic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXynrsrTKbI (3 minutes-ish)
There's a longer clip (about 12 minutes) that another friend sent me in response to me forwarding it. Anyway, I think you might also like it.
