Had some deep 'mindfulness practice in daily life' with my girlfriend this weekend. I'm bummed out cause we're gonna break up in the near future.

Where I to go to a retreat with Ajahn Brahm, I would get 1 hour of dhamma talk and maybe 10 minutes interview per day. But being at home, I am at complete liberty. When I want, I can listen to him for even several hours in a row!

It's 20:20 or 8:20pm here. today (tue 5/11/13) and yesterday had short bursts of intense joy over little things like drinking a cup of warm chicory beverage with Rub syrup and soy milk or learning a new faster way to tie my shoe laces.

Thinking about where to go on a long retreat: US - Shinzen or Australia - Ajahn Brahm.

some emotions, like anger, gratitude, fear, hope, love and hate are more directed at someone or something. others, like happiness and sadness, are less.

I looking for a place, possibly a monastery or meditation center or school, possibly in Asia, where I could continue my self-retreat, but with the help and support of other experienced and more experienced meditators, possibly monks. Anyone knows of such a place?
