I've been attending George Haas's classes on Wednesday nights at Against The Stream in Santa Monica, when my schedule permits. He is a student of Shinzen Young's, and teaches vipassana in Shinzen's noting style. On alternate weeks, he teaches the brahmaviharas rather than vipassana. The 90 minute class usually consists of a period of discussion providing context for the practice, followed by a 50 minute sit, and a brief recap/Q&A at the end.

The classes are well attended. The class is also offered at the ATS Hollywood location on Fridays.
