I was on retreat doing goenka style sweeping. There were two large oval shaped transparent section around my abdomin and chest. They space in them felt extremely subtlety pleasant and satisfying. I also noticed a small white light coming from somewhere around the top of my head. Any ideas what it was?

its hard to ever say exactly what other peoples' experiences 'are' but the places you mention could be chakras which i assume you are at least conceptually familiar with.  lights in general are associated with the stage we call the A&P here but there are lots of different ways these 'strange things' present themselves in practice.

the usual advice is to enjoy them and move on without trying to replicate them.  lights are cool enlightenment is better.
