I'm writing one, in which I'm discussing what a jhana is and how it affects people. I should try to keep it somewhat scientific.
found this article (maybe someone here linked it) which is obviuosly flawed since it overlooks the facts that the master's can't agree on how strong the jhana factors should be in order to constitute a jhana:

Only thing I have found though. 
Have been reading Csikszentmihalyi's work on flow, to compare and see if sutta-style jhana is actually = flow
