Trying to find a thread link...

to a remarkable story of awakening. Read it on here about a month ago.

About a guy (a writer) who got burn/lung damage from a fire in his home, which destroyed just about everything he held most dear....

then when he was recovering from that he had a serious accident,

landed in hospital again paralyzed, runs out of money,

ends up in a home for dementia/alzheimers patients, where people are screaming all the time (even right up to death), and coming in his room all the time (and he can't do squat diddly about it cos he can hardly move).

The guy has a westerners name....

Thanks if you can help

The gobal cloud brain at work!
It really is an amazing story and great to read if you think you are having a bad day. I am not sure his technique will become popular. I am still looking to see if I can verity it in the early texts - could be one of those lost suttas though :-)

(also in youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ta1HQQXRFQU)

Very inspiring because of the TOTAL commitment with practice (becase of extreme conditions) and the result of this
