Yes, I had doubts. I had no teacher to guide me. The event was so ordinary that I remained very sceptical. But the cessation "experience" was something different from anything I experienced in my entire life. Ordinary, but new.
I became convinced a few months later mainly because my mental health should have gone down the drain after some things that happened to me. Yet, I was dealing with things unbelievably well. If I did not attain SE, this would be impossible.
