I just started watching the series on Amazon and have been very impressed! As many other's have said, it's like "Harry Potter for big kids!" Based on Lev Grossman's The Magicians Trilogy, the characters are in their late 20's and the show is definitely racier and darker than Harry Potter. I think DhO peeps will be able to appreciate a lot of the subtle and nuanced themes that I'm guessing are lost on the majority of viewers.

I've been watching. Wasn't sure if I liked it much at first, but now I'm hooked!

I know this is a tired refrain, but if you haven't read the books, I'd HIGHLY recommend reading them first. It'll probably ruin the show for you, but they're so good. If you're a cynical gen x'r who loved the Narnia books when you were a kid anyhow lol ;)

I just happened to get hooked on the show before reading the books. Just got a copy of the first book. I love the Narnia tie-in, expecially the idea that more was going on there than meets the eye!
