Paṇḍitārāma Lumbini International Vipassanā Meditation Center:
"Words can't describe.
A great loss to all of us.
Sayadawgyi passed away this morning,
on the 16th of April, 2016, at the age of 95.
His guidance, his compassion,
be filled our hearts always."

I had my first experience of not-self during a retreat led by U Pandita in the early 90's. It blew my mind so throughly that I spent hours after the retreat, walking around in the Santa Cruz Mountains above the Land of Medicine Buddha where the retreat was held, trying to construct some kind of logical explanation for it.
As the Buddha said just before he died: "All compounded things are impermanent". Nevertheless, U Pandita will be missed.
