I can get to discussions/recents posts easily on my laptops and desktop. I used to be able to do it on my Android. I sign in, click discussions and click on the button with three lines on it to get to the categories of posts and nothing happens. Is there another way to get to Recent Posts? Is this a problem with Android?

This link takes me to recent posts:

http://www.dharmaoverground.org/web/guest/discussion/-/message_boards/recent-posts?p_r_p_564233524_tag=

I've been getting problems on some devices depending on the link.  Someone recently said at the Dho community:

"It might be your cache. Clear your browsers history/cache and try again. An alternative is going into private browsing mode, going to the DhO, then getting out of private mode and refreshing the page. Another solution I found is linking to a random thread, its opened the site every time so far."

Edit: on a desktop chrome browser, I cannot get to the root "
http://www.dharmaoverground.org/",  if i clear "cookies and other site data" I can, but then after logging in again (needs a cookie to stay logged in), I cannot.  Something gets messed up with the re-directs.

Hm, I just tested it on chrome on android, but when not signed in and when signed in and the recent posts link works for me. What browser are you using in android?

However I just made a change that should help - the 'Discussion' link in the top menu now links directly to the 'Recent posts' page, but when logged in and not.

Does that help?

Hm, could you supply some more details about what is happening? I'm not able to reproduce the problem, there shouldn't really be any redirects happening with the dho root.

Hi Simon

I just tried it on a Firefox browser (Windows 10 desktop) and I can reproduce the problem. Here are the steps.
  • Start out not signed in.
  • enter the web address:  http://www.dharmaoverground.org/
  • the address gets translated succesfully to:  http://www.dharmaoverground.org/web/guest/home?p_p_state=maximized&p_p_mode=view&saveLastPath=false&_58_struts_action=%2Flogin%2Flogin&p_p_id=58&p_p_lifecycle=0&_58_redirect=%2F
  • I log in
  • Address gets translated to  http://www.dharmaoverground.org/user/cpm/home
  • I then enter the root address http://www.dharmaoverground.org/
  • Get the error:  " The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Well, now I can reproduce it to, both in chrome and firefox. But only with a standard user account and not with an admin account which is probably why I haven't seen it previously. I'll look into it.

Hi,

I think this should be fixed now. It seems to have been a permission issue.

Can you verify?

Thanks,
Simon
