Who is Ashoi and where is he ?

I came across several  youtube videos which are 8 years old about this interesting guy Ashoi .
He has 2 websites  http://www.ashoi.com/About-Ashoi.htm
And this one http://www.minddimension.com/MDHome.htm
Both websites haven't been updated from around the same time these youtube videos appeared.

Appart from these resources there is nothing else anywhere about this guy .It looks like his activity has ceased at around the same time or soon after he became active, roughly 2008.

I wonder if this was all a scam ?
Any thoughts ?
