Random spatial perspective change while talking to people

I wonder if anyone else notices this at all, but sometimes when speaking to people, I notice that size and distance sometimes become unclear, as in it looks like they could also be far away and big. I also notice the things around them much wider. Sometimes I get a weird sense of my field of vision consists of a plane with a mouth and eyes moving in the middle of it. It just seems to happen when I look at people for a while while they're talking. To my good fortune they do not appear to think I'm am looking at them like a mentalist. Mentalist as in weirdo, obviously.

What's that about? Is it just something with my eyesight? Is it to do with concentration? I promise I have not done any drugs.
