Going to Japan next year with a friend who is familiar with meditation (but not as much of a mysticism geek as me lol). Do you have any advice on dharma related stuff to do? 
Maybe like:
•Going to a shingon buddhist (japanese vajrayana) goma ceremony. Have you done that? Can one just show up as a tourist?
•Doing a not too hard core but not too touristy sesshin. Do you know any good places for that? Hard core ones as well could be interesting. I have a little retreat experience.
