Will BarronHi Will! If you are doing samatha, noting distractions or noticing thoughts and seeing them arise and pass away - it is a lot more Vipassana than you might think. It is not mentioned to the truckloads of people doing some form of meditation and I wonder how many stumble into such territory and think themselves insane and suffer unknowingly. It does sound like you are in the early stages of Insight, maybe even the Stage of Fear; if you have jumped onto the Insight bandwagon, what difference does it make and what are you going to do about it?
