Hello all,
i was wondering if anyone knew of a place in the u.s. that accomodated darkness retreats. in fact, i just need the actual facility and living arrangement for a week or so, for training in 0% light.

Any help or links are greatly appreciated, thanks!

I know that Lama Surya Das' Dzogchen Osel Ling (near Austin, Texas) has facilities for dark retreat. I suppose you also need proper support so that's where your facility would have to be. Hope this helps: http://www.dzogchen.org/mandala/dzol.htm

If you just need it for yourself, you can make any room a darkroom pretty easily. I just went to a retreat recently where they put up 2 sheets of heavy black plastic on the outsides and insides of all the windows and doors. It worked great.

Tsegyalgar in Massachusetts was building a dark retreat cabin when I was there a few years ago. I'm assuming it's all finished, but I've been out of touch for a while, so I'm not sure. fyi, they have wonderful retreat cabins on beautiful, isolated land.
