It looks like the Me Too movement has caught up with the  Sakyong,
current head of Shambhala:

I think this doesn't have all that much  to do with #metoo. More so the all too familiar problem of corruption and ethical failure amongst the ranks of the "spiritual elite."

I think #metoo made it easier for the women to come forward.

Looks like both the link and the PDF have been pulled.
The legal department must be on the case.

Tom your first post here looks a lot like one I read on a certain other message board system with its HQ in the Bay Area.

If so, nice to see you here, too.

If not, apologies for the misidentification.

Nothing has been pulled.  I just copied and pasted the links, which didn't work.  Try these:

https://tricycle.org/trikedaily/sakyong-mipham-rinpoche-sexual-abuse/

https://www.lionsroar.com/report-alleges-sexual-misconduct-by-leader-of-shambhala-community/
http://andreamwinn.com/project_sunshine/Buddhist_Project_Sunshine_Phase_2_Final_Report.pdf

I'm having trouble with the software, so if these links don't work just google project sunshine buddhist

This is really sad. My impression of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche has always been that he was basically a cool, well meaning person who was in a bit over his head in trying to run this international organization started by his father.

He projected an image of health (running marathons), sobriety and marital fidelity, at least to someone like me who isn't part of that organization anymore. You got the sense that he was cleaning up Shambhala's act after this crazed period in the 1970s and '80s. Argh.

Thanks everyone for these resources. I found the Horizon Analysis in Appendix 1 of the Phase 2 Report and more especially the Appendix 2 example (horizon analysis of Dzongsar Rinpoche on Sogyal Rinpoche’s accusers) incredibly useful and helpful. Highly recommended for sifting through conflicting emotions and viewpoints on complex, thorny issues that might have a deeply personal component.
