Trent, Tarin,

When you noticed destructive feelings and reactions (e.g., getting annoyed with someone you live or work with), how did you change? Did you rely on sheer will power or did you have other techniques?

i sometimes reminded myself that this is the only moment i have to enjoy being alive, and that by being, say, annoyed, i was missing out on it. if the simple reminder didn't do the trick - because i simply didn't want to enjoy being alive - then the very realisation that i did not want to be happy (and so did not have my own best interests at heart) was often enough for me to see how silly it was for me to be that way, and the amusement was usually enough to get back to feeling good again.
