Online Qigong Courses?

Anyone done an online Qigong course they would recommend? Or have a good Youtube channel to share etc?

Here's a woman I found who has a great channel, and a paid site as well. No affiliation. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJYjsMmSjHqb4PhiUdCyRsg

My whole meditative journey has been blessed/plagued by enormous amounts of energy within and around the body and a major blockage in the third eye (or maybe that's "me" hanging on for dear life... lol) and this is not the first time I've threatened to try and learn how to work with it  emoticon

Any recommendations greatly appreciated,

You have probably already seen this, but the below comment from Chris' journal (part 2 of it) was helpful for me. The youtube channel that is mentioned there. The guy knows what he is talking about.

The above youtube video is demonstrated by Jesse Tsao. He has a wonderful selection of Tai Chi & Qigong videos on his profile page:

Hi BTG, what are you looking for? Unblock chakras? Unblock organs? Unblock the spine? Smell fragances? Stuffing up the three dantians? Light up the Microcosmic Orbit? Light up the Macrocosmic Orbit? Follow the martial way?

There are thousands of Qigong methods, 99% is pure bull shit. I tried dozens in the last 20 years, and finally tailored some stuff that works for my needs (*). Sorry for puting it so bluntly, but that women has no skill at all. And the Eight Piece Brocades only works if you have done previously a lot of internal work (if you have 2nd Path or up, your concentration is already good, so that may be a game changer; also if you're a natural, but that's 0.000001% of the population). Also take in consideration if you're willing to put 2 hours per day to the practice.

(*) a mix of Wu Style Taiji Qigong, Feng ZhiQiang HunYuan Taiji Qigong, and Scott Meredith's Taiji/Xing Yi stuff.

This is great Pepe, thanks a lot. This is the kind of knowledge that's hard to come by anywhere but the DhO emoticon
I'd be pretty happy if I could just unblock the third eye. It's been a debilitating feature of my experience for 8 years or more now. But in order of importance to me:
  • move energy out of the third eye
  • improve overall energy levels in daily life
  • self healing, other people healing

Any pointers based on your experience would be welcome!

thanks,

PS..
Yes, 2nd path to the best of my knowledge and concentration is good, but do not currently have access to the pure shamatha jhana's.

It's the first comment by Khara on this page. Almost two pages down the top of the page:

I sometimes do these types of exercises to prepare my mind for sitting meditation. They are very easy, very relaxing, the breathing, movement and attention (each relaxing by itself) when done together are very good for turning off the body's stress reaction - which makes focusing in meditation much easier and more consistent from day to day.

The videos don't go into detail about energy work but if you know how to work with energy you can do it with some of these exercises.

Tai-chi (very similar to above qi-gong)

As a general rule, you'll need a 15 minutes warm up before doing any Qigong set. That warm up consists of any standard leg stretching and joints flexibility (eg video) plus some body tapping. Since you liked Kseny's videos, I recommend to do both video 1 and video 2. The tapping and massaging in the head is important in your case, in order to let the energy flow descend from the third eye. Add to that rubbing both index fingers going down from the crown to the chin (through the middle line of the body/head), and then from the chest to the lower belly. Then you can proceed with a qigong exercise (I'll PM you).
