Is concentration practice necessary for stream entry?

Hey y'all, I have a question about concentration practice. For a long time I have tried to mix concentration and vipassana in one sitting. say for instance I start with 15 minutes of concentration and then finish with 45 minutes of noting. However, I have never really managed to do well with concentration practices and find that dry insight is more my style. So, are pure concentration practices really necessary for me to get stream entry? or can I just stick to pure dry insight practices such as noting aloud to get me there? Thanks

15 minutes is not really enough time for concentration practice.

Instead I would recommend something like this to prepare for vipassana:
