A nursery rhyme.

Fell from my lofty perch last night. (smoked a bong load) Whew... doesn't take much, but I guess the metaphor is correct the higher the tower the stronger and more stable the foundations need be. Back to the grindstone! Water doesn't boil at 98 degrees!

(well at least I got a decent poem from it... dang! My 'addiction' to poetry is keeping me down) haha!

A nursery rhyme by Xzanthius

No where that space between two poles.
No when, it’s bell tolls.
No why the rig-a-ma-roll,
No how it unfolds.

No who it calls.
No soul, no soul.

(Now back to banishing; hahahahahahahahahaha! "Laugh at your wounds Mars and back to training!", said Saturn brandishing his whip. ker-ack!)

I'm back on track and more committed than before to seeing this thing through.

That reminds me a little of Lew Welch.

I Saw Myself

I saw myself
a ring of bone
in the clear stream
of all of it

and vowed
always to be open to it
that all of it
might flow through

and then heard
"ring of bone" where
ring is what a

bell does

Thanks for the share... interesting the symbol of 'bone' in the poem. I see the death of self in it. I can appreciate that.

Rereading my poem after a few weeks and I can't help but cringe a little at the Buddhist clichés. Oh well, bad poetry is the sign of a youthful spirit right? and clichés signs of truth?

This sort of reminds me of this (very heavy) Pendulum feat. In Flames song, Self vs. Self. It's chock full of Buddhist lyrics, at least the way I'm reading it.

If I struggle a lifetime,
What would my body be?
An empty shell,
On what a demon fed

Could be a heavy burden,
To stay true to your words
Speak up,
I wanna silence everything

If I got no plan,
Doesn't mean that I get what I want for free
If I got no meaning,
Would you force me to a place where I make sense?
'Cause nothing lasts forever

How do I get home?
Everything revolves around you
If I can't find myself?
As you're so completely fake

How do I get home?
Everything revolves around you
If even you can't help?
Dark nights from my soul

I deny failure,
I Ignite
Woe is on my misery,
She wins all their eyes

Realise what they find's not fate,
This is not me, this is me
So if I struggle a lifetime,
What good would that do?

If I got a plan,
Doesn't have to stop the feeling inside
If I do make sense,
Would you drag me down?
'Cause nothing lasts forever
