One of the best Discovery films I've seen recently. Highly recommended for the scientific folks.
Helpful in understanding how much of human life is influenced by Kama.

<laughing!>

So I'm nicer when i crave and guys will dress sillier?

Um... maybe cutting craving entirely is wrong? Maybe there's a middle way...

I'm going to go help my grandmother now... and two kittens after I finish sizing this tricky bikini!

;)

(Thanks, Sn. Good one)

[edit: so, seriously, while this film is taking up mainly the sensations and reasoning forming around lust, it does for me underline the tremendous value in "science of mind" and meditation on own-mind-body, and the mind's uptake of objects/others based on externally applied conditions without training and internally developed conditions with training knowledge.]

Welcome emoticon

I find the experiments in this film very creative. Their conclusions may not always be firm but that's what science is all about. It tells us that our subconscious mind naturally reacts in different ways based on the immediate environment/sensory cues so naturally that we may not even notice the difference. My favorite part was when the cars start slowing down after 22:00.

These are just ordinary people.
Even some so called Zen/Spiritual masters have at times fallen prey to the primal urge.
Our culture has become so driven by lust that people who are not interested in it think they are abnormal and seek therapy for becoming interested/normal !

Metta has often been taught to monks as a protection/ward against harms of all kinds.
