If you've been in this game for a while, and beyond a certain point, does (mindfully?) noticing that things are happening by themselves help to push you along the progress of insight cycle? 

I'm hoping this is the last thing I really don't understand so hopefully my last stupid question for a while...

It seemed like a big deal at the time when it first happened to me and I associated it with progress. But now I realize that agencylessness is like anything else - impermanent - it comes and goes. In my opinion there's no bigger "tell" in spirituality than someone pretending to be no one. 

EDIT: and I speak as someone who tried to keep that front up for a while, although I was convinced that was not what I was doing at the time.
