Objectifying and Kabir

I am looking for  papers by psychologists or other researchers on the value of objectfying our hang-ups and affective emotions. I think  Robert Keagen of Harvard is doing work here but haven't found any papers by him on it.

Now the Kabir: I am trying to find the author and exact wording of the following poem. It was probably Kabir, Hafez, or Rumi. The poem goes something like this. We are like a clay pot with a little water in it and floating in a pond. A touch of the Truth, the pot breaks. The waters become one.
